Florida Metropolitan University (FMU) consists of nine campuses located in the cities of Clearwater, Fort Lauderdale, Lakeland, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Orlando, and Tampa. The university is dedicated to providing a personalized teaching and learning environment designed to support the personal and professional career development of qualified undergraduate and graduate students. Florida Metropolitan University welcomes applications from those who desire to enrich their lives and to prepare themselves with skills to begin successful careers or professions.
Fort Lauderdale CampusFounded in 1940, the Ft. Lauderdale Campus is located between Miami and Palm Beach in cosmopolitan South Florida in the city of Ft. Lauderdale, also known as the Venice of America. Orlando Campuses: Founded in 1953, FMU has two campuses in Orlando near Disney World's Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Center as well as Universal Studios Florida. A third campus, in Melbourne, is located near the Atlantic coast, one hour southeast of Orlando and 20 minutes from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral. Tampa Campuses: Founded in 1890, FMU is the oldest business college in Florida. The four Tampa campuses are located in Pinellas (Clearwater), Brandon, Lakeland, and Tampa. The campuses are situated by the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Jacksonville Campus: Founded in 2000, Jacksonville is the newest of the nine FMU campuses. Since it is one of Florida's oldest, most prosperous, and diverse cities, Jacksonville makes for an ideal location for this campus. Because Jacksonville was settled along both sides of the twisting St. Johns River, many attractions are on or near a riverbank, and the plentiful shoreline yields pretty vistas across the wide waterway. |
