The Mathematics Division
The Mathematics Division teaches a broad-based Mathematics syllabus in Levels 1 to 3. This leads onwards in Level 4 to a set of topics inspired by our internationally-rated recognised research strengths in Applied Mathematics, including numerical analysis, mathematical biology and applied analysis: the most recent review of our research resulted in the award of a 5 grading (equal top in Scotland) in the Applied Mathematics category. In addition, the Division is a small and friendly place where staff are ready and willing to help at all levels. You will soon get to know the staff and your fellow students.
