The University of Chichester (UoC) provides excellent opportunities for both undergraduates and postgraduates. With around 3,000 full-time and 1,600 part-time students, UoC has developed a reputation as a friendly, successful and supportive place to study. The University of Chichester dates back to 1839 and its impressive history is still evident across its two attractive campuses in Chichester (the Bishop Otter Campus) and in the nearby seaside town of Bognor Regis. Both campuses benefit from being near their respective town centres and offer students both excellent facilities and comfortable accommodation. There are excellent facilities for overseas students. The University of Chichester has been receiving international students from all over the world for over 25 years. Whether you wish to take a full degree, come for a short period to have a taste of British higher education, or come as a part of a ‘Year Abroad’ programme from your home university, the University has carefully designed courses and expert support to help you realise your goals. Our campus-based English Language programmes are accredited by the British Council under the English in Britain Accreditation Scheme and UoC is a member of: ENGLISHUK and UKCOSA: The Council for International Education. Social Life Social life at UoC is varied and friendly with a variety of events organised throughout the year. There are a number of societies to choose from: the Multicultural Society, Musical Theatre Society, the Alternative Music Society, Dance, Drama, Climbing, Surf, Literature, History and the Mature Student Society. The Chichester campus features several arts venues such as Otter Gallery and a new art building, artOne. Both campuses also have their own state of the art libraries and IT suites. Sport UoC has a variety of sports clubs, tennis courts, an all-weather sports pitch, astro-turf and a floodlit hockey pitch. We have a new Sports and Research Activity Centre, which boasts a multi-purpose sports hall, a dedicated health and fitness suite, equipment stores and two climbing walls (outdoor and floodlit).
